Privacy and browser data
What stays in your browser, what hosting and aggregate analytics receive, and how future advertising would change data use.
Timer data on this device
The app uses localStorage for the most recent timer state, theme, sound preference, recent durations, Pomodoro phase and optional session label. It also uses sessionStorage for timer and phase state associated with a page in the current tab, so a reload can recover that session when browser storage is available. Storage is specific to the browser and site address; saved data does not automatically move to another domain.
The app does not transmit your session label to our server. Sharing sends duration, mode and Pomodoro phase in the link; it does not include your label. Links can nevertheless be seen by the people and services you send them to.
Hosting and aggregate measurement
Cloudflare provides hosting infrastructure. Delivering and protecting a page can involve standard request metadata such as IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time. This is different from the private label stored by the timer.
If Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled in the hosting settings, it measures aggregate visits and page performance. Whether its measurement script is loaded depends on the deployed settings. Cloudflare describes this measurement as cookie-free and without fingerprinting individual visitors. This does not mean that hosting infrastructure processes no request metadata. Consult Cloudflare’s documentation for how that service works.
Advertising is not currently served
The current site does not request or display advertisements from an advertising network. A page describing possible advertising or an empty reserved layout is not an active advertising service.
If Google advertising is activated in a future release, this notice must be updated before activation. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, IP addresses, web beacons and other identifiers for ad delivery, measurement and, where enabled, personalized advertising based on visits to this and other sites. That future processing is not described as happening in the current release.
Choices before future Google advertising
Where Google policy or applicable consent requirements require it, advertising must be integrated with a suitable certified consent management platform and the required choices before ads are activated. Simply displaying this privacy page is not consent. The available personalized or non-personalized advertising options will depend on region, consent and the implemented configuration.
Google explains partner-site data use and provides ad personalization controls. Those controls are separate from deleting the timer’s local data, and this site cannot promise that a single setting disables every identifier used by every future provider.
Remove or limit local data
To remove saved timers and labels, open your browser’s site settings, find this site and clear its cookies and site data. Chrome and Edge usually provide this under Settings, Privacy and security, then Site data or Site permissions. Firefox provides Manage Data under Cookies and Site Data; Safari offers Manage Website Data under Privacy. Menu wording varies by version.
Close other timer tabs before clearing data, then reopen the page to avoid an open tab saving its state again. Clearing site data also removes your saved theme and recent durations. Private browsing or blocked storage can prevent restoration; the timer can still run while the page remains open.
Questions and updates
Use the published contact method for questions about this notice. Do not include a private session label unless it is necessary to explain your question. Changes to hosting, measurement or advertising will be reflected here; check the displayed update date when revisiting the policy.
