Fifteen minutes for a decision meeting

Use this slot for one question that can realistically be decided, not a full agenda. Share the question and any essential reading beforehand. Pick a timekeeper so the final minutes become decisions and ownership rather than another open-ended discussion.

The countdown covers the whole meeting; it does not announce the internal checkpoints. If remote participants use the shared setting, designate one master display or give a clear start. The link shares duration and mode, without private labels or clock synchronization. Write the outcome somewhere durable.

  • 3 minutes: state the question, constraints and desired decision.
  • 8 minutes: compare options using the relevant evidence.
  • 4 minutes: agree the next action, owner and follow-up.

Sort a small list of pending tasks

Open the list you already keep and review a manageable part of it. Separate tasks you can act on, tasks waiting for someone else, and items that are no longer relevant. Do not start doing every task while reviewing the list.

For each actionable item, write a visible next step: “ask for the missing invoice” is clearer than “accounts.” Check real deadlines in the source message or calendar instead of assigning urgent labels from memory.

Leave the review with one starting point

At the end, choose one task you are ready to begin and note any waiting items separately. The timer does not create a schedule or prioritize your list automatically. Save the decisions in the tool or notebook where you normally manage them.

If the list is too large, review one project or one category next time. Finishing a useful subset is better than repeatedly adding a minute while drifting through the whole backlog.

Guides

Frequently asked questions

Will the timer work in another tab?

The display calculates remaining time from an end time, so it can catch up after you switch tabs. Reload recovery also needs valid saved state and available browser storage. Background sounds may be delayed. Keep the tab open and device awake when the alarm matters.

Will it ring when my phone is locked?

A browser cannot guarantee an alarm while the device is asleep, locked or the tab is closed. Keep your device awake and test the sound. Use your device’s alarm for critical reminders.

How do I use the Pomodoro timer?

Choose Pomodoro for a 25-minute focus session. Then manually start a 5-minute break, or choose a 15-minute long break. The next session never starts without you.

Is this timer free, and do I need an account?

It is free and needs no account. Your timer and theme are stored in this browser when storage is available. Nothing you type into the session label is sent to a server.

Can I share a timer?

Yes. Share copies a link with your chosen duration and mode. Opening it sets up the same timer; it does not synchronize clocks or share your private session label.
