Thirty minutes for language practice
Choose a small set of words, a short passage or one conversation pattern. Use the first minutes to retrieve what you already know before rereading. Make the central period active: speak, write or answer questions rather than only scrolling through examples.
At the end, note what was difficult and what to revisit next. The timer measures the session, not learning quality or each internal segment. When sharing with a study partner, agree on a start and keep notes separately. The link contains settings without personal labels or a live synchronized countdown.
- 5 minutes: recall previous material without looking.
- 15 minutes: practise the selected passage or pattern.
- 7 minutes: check errors and try again.
- 3 minutes: record the next review target.
Compare the conditions of two purchases
Bring two real options and decide what matters before browsing further. Compare the included items, total cost, delivery timing and return terms on the seller’s own pages. For a subscription, check the billing period and renewal conditions rather than comparing only the headline price.
Write unknowns as questions. A delivery estimate or a missing specification should remain uncertain until you confirm it. This block limits your comparison; it does not validate a seller or calculate prices for you.
Stop comparing without forcing a purchase
At zero, record your preferred option and the reason, or record why neither qualifies. You do not need to buy because the timer ended. Keeping the links and unresolved questions gives the next review a clear starting point.
If you spent most of the block finding new options, narrow the comparison next time. A short follow-up can answer one missing question; a broader or costly decision may require more research outside this session.

A step-by-step countdown workflow, including pause, reload recovery and sharing.
- Use a timer for study, review and practice tests
Plan a twenty-five-minute study example, keep useful notes, and distinguish learning time from exam simulation.
- Plan a Pomodoro focus session
Use manual focus and break phases with a concrete task and a realistic stopping point.
- Time a presentation or meeting
Use countdowns and stopwatch laps to rehearse, allocate discussion and finish with time for decisions.
- How to use a timer while cooking
Read the recipe’s starting point, prepare the timer, and move through each cooking step in order.
- Why did the timer not make a sound?
Check the app, browser, audio output and power settings before relying on a browser alarm.
Frequently asked questions
Will the timer work in another tab?
The display calculates remaining time from an end time, so it can catch up after you switch tabs. Reload recovery also needs valid saved state and available browser storage. Background sounds may be delayed. Keep the tab open and device awake when the alarm matters.
Will it ring when my phone is locked?
A browser cannot guarantee an alarm while the device is asleep, locked or the tab is closed. Keep your device awake and test the sound. Use your device’s alarm for critical reminders.
How do I use the Pomodoro timer?
Choose Pomodoro for a 25-minute focus session. Then manually start a 5-minute break, or choose a 15-minute long break. The next session never starts without you.
Is this timer free, and do I need an account?
It is free and needs no account. Your timer and theme are stored in this browser when storage is available. Nothing you type into the session label is sent to a server.
Can I share a timer?
Yes. Share copies a link with your chosen duration and mode. Opening it sets up the same timer; it does not synchronize clocks or share your private session label.
